Joey Nesler treats children ages 4 and up.
She is trained in the various developmental stages across the life span, she has worked with families from a wide variety of adoption circumstances,
and every session is designed to meet the developmental needs of the child.

Approaches include play and art therapy, metaphorical storytelling, sand tray, etc.

Areas of specialization include special needs or older-child adoption issues, abuse/trauma recovery, grief and loss for children and teens, the emotional impact of search and reunion, blending families or step-parents, childhood depression, transracial adoption issues, how to talk about adoption with your child, adjusting to a new home and family, school problems, social skills challenges, and more.
